You know why I like life? When you think you’ve seen it all? You see another side suddenly unravels.This same process applies to music when some seconds ago you felt…o boy…this is my jam…another humble artiste drops another hit. Music is much more than melody, rhyme, I can say its..hmnn.(what’s the word again?) ENCOMPASSING.Lest I forget, I’m sorry for the delay in this posting, many technical issues came up and personal onesDon’t let me bore you with my lil obsession about how it should be seen( I wish I could see my school work this way, just saying)So, my song for this week is one of our own. You want to guess? I bet you would have guessed wrongly, if not for my topic (gotya).A friend some weeks back asked me, what does ‘’Halleluyah’’ have to do with a love song.At that title, seeing simi and johnny drille on the cover the ‘’religious’’ people may wanna feel somehow.., but to the music lovers that question will be what will spur me(us)..it would make us inquisitive, make us wanna listen more. I’d love to be this way than try to hold back and be limited by the popular oxymoron; ‘’Love and church music. I don’t wanna delve too much...Creativity is music, starting with the title, production, mixing and mastering.I won't lie I think sometimes I get a bit biased about the rhythm of a song than the lyrics.In most cases, the rhythm captivates me first in any song, then afterwards I try to listen to the lyrics( I don’t know if its right or wrong). I still get the message being passed anywaysAs I saw Johnny on this track, I was happy I know he drops good songs. Moreover, who am I not to identify a music genius. I mean, arguably 2 of the top 10 artists in Nigeria right now on a track.Who am I?

This song is a nice country/ballad, with a smooth soothing effect. Not a busy song, I mean could count the entire musical instrument used. A narrative song with a consistent beat and instrumentation.Johnny started the verse coolly, but I must say Simi’s entry into her verse(verse 2) was really captivating. It's like this song was tailored for her sweet voice(without removing any credit from Jonny DRILLE’s masterclass arrangement).If you must know this song was on loop on my phone for days, without getting ‘’tired’’.I said this song gave a soothing effect right?Then ill say It is a BALM jam.My name is Zeek.Please subscribe, comment and share this…
